If your child receives his or her allowance on Friday and it is gone by Saturday, expect frustration when the intense desire for a poster, hair clips, or other allowance-financed item strikes at the mall on Tuesday afternoon.
Holding your child accountable and gently encouraging him or her to remember this experience when payday next arrives is the way to go. |
