For Students

Please Note: I will be accepting new doctoral students into the lab for the 2019-20 academic year and welcome inquiries.

My current research interests are in professional training and advancing clinician use of evidence-based treatments with middle-aged and older adults. My research interests fall in the areas of dissemination/implementation science and clinical geropsychology, with a specific focus on psychotherapist competencies for treating later-life depression. My lab also explores other facets of mental health and aging, including family care partnered relationships. My clinical orientation is cognitive-behavioral, and I serve as a research advisor and a clinical supervisor.UM-St. Louis undergraduate students interested in potentially gaining research experience within our lab are encouraged to email Dr. Steffen (ann_steffen@umsl.edu) for more information.
