Aiesec Saint Louis at UMSL
Aiesec is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit student exchange organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Its members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. Aiesec is the world's largest student organization and is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential. Our partner organizations look at Aiesec as a way to support the development of young people and to have access to high-potential young talent from around the world.

Amnesty International
The mission of Amnesty International is to undertake research and action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of the right to physical well-being and the right to mental integrity, on protecting the freedom of conscience and expression, and on ensuring freedom from discrimination, within the context of its work to promote all human rights. Amnesty Interational is independent of any government, political ideology, or oppose the views of the victims whose rights it seeks to protect. It is concerned solely with the impartial protection of human rights.

Associated Black Collegians
The purpose of the Associated Black Collegians is to promote academic, political, cultural, and social awareness among the Black students at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and the local Black community in general.

Black Student Nurses Association
The purpose of the Barnes College Black Student Nurses Association shall be to: serve as a support group for the African-American students within the Barnes College of Nursing; assure that the African American student perspective is represented in every aspect of the Barnes College of Nursing community; be the vehicle for unifacation of African American nursing students to insure continuity and flow of our common heritage; collaborate with other African American groups to compile archives relevant to the historical, current, and future activities of African American nurses; aid in the development of the whole person, and his/her professional role, and his/her responsibility for the health care of people in all walks of life.

Campus Crusade for Christ
The purpose of Campus Crusade for Christ is to help students understand what it means to have a relationship with God and to give those students a chance to grow in their relationship with God through Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Our goal is to provide a place on campus where students can form close friendships with other students and where they can grow in their relationship with God.

Catholic Newman Center
The purpose of Newman Center shall be to become a visible presence of the Catholic Church at UM-St. Louis and to provide opportunities for members to interact with each other, non-members, and former members on social, educational and spiritual levels. Newman House is located at 8200 Natural Bridge Road, St. Louis, MO 63121, 385-3455.

Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship
The vision of Chi Alpha is reconciling students to Christ. Chi Alpha is committed to expressing the love of God to university students by presenting the claims and teaching of Jesus Christ. Students from all denominations and backgrounds are welcomed and encouraged to attend. We desire to form a community of prayer, fellowship, discipline, and witness at the University of Missouri-St Louis.

Chinese Students Association - Mainland
Our goals are: (1) To provide the Chinese students and American people with more opportunities to know each other's culture, to develop a better understanding and friendship between them, and to enrich the cultural diversity on our campus by contribution to and participation in various activities. (2) To provide Chinese students with various kinds of help, making it easier to gain success in their academic study at UMSL.

Chinese Students Association - Taiwan
The purposes of Chinese Student Association are to provide information and activities that enhance the reputation of UMSL to attract and retain more Chinese students, to enrich their life while attending UMSL, and to promote the Chinese Culture Exchange with all UMSL students.

Delta Sigma Theta
The principal purposes and aims of this Sorority shall be to engage in cultural, educational, and public service activities: to establish, maintain and encourage high cultural, intellectual and moral standards.

Helping Hands Mentoring Project
Mentors assist African American students proteges who are new to the campus, those on academic probation or those who need help adjusting to college life in numerous ways. The mentors provide resource information, offer tutoring, and assist with academic, social, and career issues. Mentors are available to listen to the concerns of proteges on any issue and will provide as much assistance as possible. Mentors will also work one-on-one or in groups with their proteges.

Hispanic Latino Association
The purpose of this organization shall be to promote culture awareness of the Hispanic community toward increasing greater social and cultural understanding with other campuses and the greater community. To raise funds for BECA, the HISLA Scholarship. To organize scholarship, literary, musical, educational programs, and to sponsor or engage in endeavors considered practical and beneficial for the purpose of collecting funds necessary for the achievement of the ideals which it pursues.

Indian Students Association
The purpose of the Indian Students Association is to provide a chance for the Indian students at UM-St. Louis to assemble together, to celebrate various national and cultural festivals of India, to address the needs and requirements of Indian students at UM-St. Louis, to provide assistance to new Indian students to get settled on campus and in St. Louis, and to promote awareness of UM-St. Louis in India and attracting more Indian Students.

Indonesian Student Association
The purpose of Indonesian Student Association shall be to strengthen the relationship among the Indonesian students and students of other nationalities through various activities. Those activities include cultural, educational, social and recreational, and also to help new Indonesian students to be succeed in their academic and social life.

International Business Club
The International Business Club desires to provide UMSL students with knowledge and experience in the area of International Business. The Club will seek to provide a forum for professional and social contact between and among students and professionals working in or with International Business. Guest Speakers from international firms will help accomplish the Club's goals through presentations and workshops.

International Students Organization
The International Students Organization is a special interest group. Its purposes are 1) to promote international understanding and cultural exchange for UM-St. Louis students; 2) assist in the acclimation of new students to the campus and city; and 3) to share and exchange international cultures with the UM-St. Louis community by encouraging students to participate in both on and off campus activities related to their fields of studies and interest. All students are welcome to become members, both American as well as International. We invite you to join us in the sharing and learning of cultures around the world.

Japan America Students Association
The Japan America Student Association will give members a relaxed environment university students to practice Japanese and experience the unique culture of Japan as well as provide an opportunity for Japanese exchange students to practice English and experience the culture of America. The Association will accomplish this purpose through educational, social and service events.

Korean Students Association
The purpose of the Korean Student Organization shall be to inform and promote Korean cultural exchange among University of Missouri-St. Louis students. The main goal of KSO is to help Korean students to adjust to the educational system and help in their acclimation while they are studying in this University.

Muslim Students Association
The purpose shall be to educate UM-St. Louis students about Islam. Arrange to celebrate Muslim festivals for UM-St. Louis students. Establish Friday Prayers for UMSL students, counsel?s Muslim students, recruit Muslim students from local and nation wide high schools. Protect Muslim students from any type of harassment.

National Association of Black Accountants
We, a group of students with similar academic and future professional interests in accounting, desire to unite in a student association to promote group identity, to advance academic development, to create esprit de corps, to instill desire for self-improvement, to foster moral and ethical standards, to encourage and recognize academic achievement, to cultivate a sense of professional and civic responsibility and service, to promote the study of accounting, and to provide opportunities for association with other student organizations.

Pan-African Association
The purpose of the Pan African Association at UMSL shall be to bring together students of African origin and, or decent in a manner that promotes social-cultural interactions and exchange of knowledge and information about Africa with other UMSL students and faculty from other parts of the world.

PRIZM
PRIZM is UMSL's Queer/Straight Student Alliance. The purpose of PRIZM is to provide a visible and positive voice the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and ally (GLBTA) community on campus. Our membership is composed of all sexual orientations and is committeed to defeating negative GLBT stereotypes and gaining GLBT equality by hosting social events, providing education to others about GLBT issues and being actively involved in the UMSL and St. Louis GLBT communities.

Sigma Gamma Rho
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was founded on November 12, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana by seven school teachers. As a leading national service organization we continue to soar to greater heights of attainment around the world. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority has met the challenges of the day and continues to grow through Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service. We are committed to, and working toward improving the quality of our lives and the society we serve. The PI MU chapter was charted on this campus in March 2004. Our members are very friendly, dedicated, and quality women. Sigma Gamma Rho, in its quest to expand its area of service and diversity, actively participates in the sponsoring of national and international programs designed for the improved welfare of all people. Candidates may be accepted for undergraduate membership after successfully completing one semester at UMSL. You must be enrolled as a full time student and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).

SistaKeeper - UMSL Chapter
SistaKeeper UMSL Chapter, will develop a multicultural sisterhood; that is diverse, building self-esteem, character, leadership, college and community awareness& SistaKeeper Empowerment Centers vision is to promote diversity, build self-awareness and self-esteem, decrease teen pregnancy, increase HIV/AIDS awareness, stop violence in our communities, increase literacy and mold the future leaders of our local, national and global communities. As a SistaPartner, SistaKeeper UMSL Chapters goal is to partner with SKEC to continue to build positive partnerships throughout our local communities.

Spanish Club
The purpose of the Spanish Club is to promote and encourage the learning of the Spanish language and understanding of Hispanic Culture.

Students with DisAbilities
The Students with disAbility Association's (SDA) primary goal is to promote disAbility awareness on the UM-St. Louis campus by providing opportunities for faculty, staff and students to increase their sensitivity to disAbility related issues. SDA actively supports students with disAbilities in their efforts to achieve full campus integration. The improved accessibility of buildings and programs enhances the quality of the University and helps to recruit and retain students with disAbilities. SDA's activities contribute to students' cultural, social, educational, and career development by providing a positive and safe learning atmosphere for everyone.

Thai Students Association
The purpose of this organization shall be to strengthen the relationship among the Thai students with students of other nationalities through various activities. These activities include cultural, educational, social and recreational, and also to help new Thai students succeed in their academic and social life.
