Kathryn "Katy" Cherry
Kathryn is a third-year Clinical Psychology graduate student. She received a B.A. in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University, and an M.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. She then worked at the Urban Youth Trauma Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is interested in family processes and the impact of stress and trauma on children's development. In her spare time, Katy can be found knitting, marathoning, watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Scrubs, and Empire, or spending time in Forest Park.
Julia Sager
Julia is a fourth-year Clinical Psychology graduate student. She received a B.S. in Psychology from Trinity College, where she conducted an honors thesis examining the relationship between adult attachment style and help-seeking behaviors. She then worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Home Base Program, an outpatient clinic and research center for Service Members and their families. Her research interests include responses to traumatic events and significant loss with a focus on how trauma exposure and grief effect interpersonal functioning, as well as the bi-directional relationship between post-traumatic stress symptoms and close relationship factors. She is particularly interested in examining interpersonal relationships and social support as mechanisms for improving individuals’ post-traumatic growth. In her spare time, Julia can be found doing yoga, taking boxing classes, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
Hannah Walker
Hannah is a third-year Clinical Psychology graduate student. She is from Northern Virginia and received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington. Her research interests include the impact of trauma on the brain, intimate partner violence, and post-trauma functioning, particularly in survivors of sexual violence. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys traveling, seeing live music, and kickboxing.
Julia Richardson
Julia is a second-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program. She is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and she received her B.S. in psychology from the University of Tulsa. While working as a research assistant, she developed an interest in studying trauma and PTSD. She is interested in studying trauma as it relates to substance abuse, moral injury, and posttraumatic growth. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, and hanging out with her dog.
Claudia Campbell
Claudia is a third year Clinical Psychology graduate student. She is broadly interested in examining factors that influence functioning after child maltreatment, including coping styles, family environment, and prior trauma experiences, as well as factors influencing outcomes of children with problematic sexual behavior. In her free time, you can find her spending time with her cats and dogs, reading Harry Potter, and going to local coffee shops.
Rebecca Ferro
Rebecca is a second-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program. She is interested in examining risk and protective factors for child traumatic stress, the impact of parental posttraumatic stress, and the intergenerational transmissionof trauma. Additionally, she is interested in treatment outcome research aimed at improving both retention and access to trauma-focused interventions for children and families. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Towson University. In her free time, she enjoys visiting state parks, listening to music, and spending time with her beloved cat and dog.
