The University of Missouri–St. Louis offers several scholarships for which students are automatically eligible for upon admission to the university. The College of Nursing provides donor-funded nursing scholarships in addition to UMSL’s general scholarship and grant opportunities.
Many nursing scholarships have additional requirements above and beyond UMSL’s general merit scholarship requirements, such as submission of a written essay or letters of recommendation. Students may be eligible to receive a scholarship or grant because of academic merit, financial need, geographical background, or other criteria set forth by scholarship donors.
Please be sure to read all information carefully before starting the scholarship application. The yearly scholarship application opens October 1 for the next school year.
Two-Step Application Process
Each year, students must complete the UMSL Scholarship Application and the nursing scholarship-specific applications. All students must complete the General Application before they can apply to specific scholarships. Once the General Application is complete, one of two things will happen:
Please take a few minutes to read through the scholarship application tutorial before submitting your application.
If you have questions about submitting the scholarship application or completing the FAFSA, please contact Student Financial Services. If you have questions about the scholarships themselves, please contact the College of Nursing.
