Barbara St. Cyr Scholarship

This scholarship has been established in the memory of a former UMSL Art History major and faculty member. It is funded by the Barbara St. Cyr memorial and seeks to benefit students pursuing their studies in studio art, art history, and art education. The amount of the scholarship is announced in March of each year.  

To qualify for the scholarship, students must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Be a studio art, art history, or art education major 
  • Have a grade point average of at least 3.0
  • Enroll for at least 6 hours each semester during the period in which the scholarship is awarded.

William T. Isbell Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of William T. Isbell II, a former UMSL art history major. The amount of the scholarship is announced in March of each year. Typically there are two scholarships of $1500.00 each. Preference is given to St. Louis area high school graduates. The scholarship is renewable on a competitive basis. 

To qualify for the scholarship, students must fulfill the following requirements: 

  • Be a studio or art history major 
  • Have a grade point average of at least 2.5 
  • Enroll for at least 12 hours each semester in the period in which the scholarship is awarded

Stephanie Rae Polston Annual Art Education Scholarship 

Scholarship Criteria

  1. Recipient must be enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with emphasis in Art Education in the Department of Art and Design.
  2. Recipient must be enrolled with a minimum of twelve credit hours.
  3. Preference may be given to first year students.
  4. Recipient must demonstrate financial need according to the criteria determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
  5. Scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient continues to meet the criteria and reapply each academic year.
