Programs for Campus and Academic Leaders
This Forum is a one day program held on campus before the fall semester. It is designed for chairs, deans, associate/assistant deans, and directors. New chairs are invited to an orientation for the first hour (beginning around 9:00 AM). Deans and directors attend with their 'cabinet teams' and convene at 10:00 AM. The agenda includes:
- a discussion of legal issues relevant to working in a University and essential knowledge for administrators, faculty, staff, and students. An attorney from the UM General Counsel's office is present to support this discussion.
- An update on UMSL initiatives, policies, and procedures important to know as the academic year begins.
- Questions about policies and suggestions for topics are welcome and may be sent to Peggy_Cohen@umsl.edu

University of Missouri Leadership Development Program
The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a yearlong, system-wide program for academic department chairs and directors, and assistant and associate deans. Created in 2000, LDP is part of the President's Academic Leadership Institute (PALI), an effort to provide leadership development opportunities and ongoing support to academic leaders on all four campuses. Academic leaders are invited to submit applications each spring for participation in the following academic year's program.
Leadership Development Program Alumni
Alumni of the UM System Leadership Development Program convene on campus once or twice a semester for lunch and discussion on timely topics.
