I watched a lot of westerns as a kid, mostly Hoppalong Cassidy films. (Starring William Boyd, trivia fans). One feature that remember from those films was the "rescue scene". In this scene, one group of good guys riding to the rescue would be joined by another group, and then another, the music would get more and more exciting, and Hoppy would be rescued from what ever dire straits he was in. It was pretty exciting for a eight year old.

I decided I needed to make a group rescue scene for myself. "Me and the Boys" is the result. I can still hear the music.

Technical Stuff:

The green "frog skin" rocket was built in Ray Dream Designer, and duplicated over & over until I had a fleet of them. It was then rendered out for Photoshop. In Photoshop I used the Kai's Power Tools Fractual Explorer filter to create the color design over my star background. Then all that was left was to put me in the foreground rocket.
