The History Department offers several scholarships for students pursuing study of History. Once you have been admitted to UMSL, you are eligible apply for scholarships through AcademicWorks portal. You must have declared a History major to be considered for these scholarships. Deadline for incoming students is January 15. Deadline for continuing UMSL students is April 1.
The John Works Memorial Scholarship supports students enrolled in the African and African American Diaspora Studies Certificate or History students with a particular interest in the field.
Arthur Shaffer Memorial Scholarship & the Thomas J. Knapp Memorial Scholarship each offer up to $1000 of support for students interested in history education.
James B. Clark Memorial Scholarship provides support for a student majoring in History with a minimum 3.25 GPA.
