Workshop Introduction
Via a space adventure with flashbacks, we illustrate use of diffraction for measuring the spacings between atoms in an unknown crystal.
The author of this presentation, Phil Fraundorf of UM-StL Physics & Astronomy, studies atom-scale microscopy, silicon science, extraterrestrial materials, statistical inference, and physics education.
Notes:
Professor Fraundorf has degrees from St. Louis University, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and Washington University. He also has work experience with Monsanto and MEMC Electronic Materials.
