Undergraduate Scholarships

The Communication and Media Department awards undergraduate financial scholarships to students who have demonstrated excellence inside and outside of their communication classrooms.

Students who complete the General Scholarship Application are automatically considered for any departmental scholarships for which they are eligible, as well as for other competitively awarded scholarships.

Jack and Carole Buck Family Scholarship

Eligibility: full-time Communication Major, Minimum GPA: 2.5

This scholarship is intended to reward a full-time communication student with solid academic credentials, and high personal character.

Sara Foster Scholarship

Eligibility: full-time Communication or Media Studies Major, Minimum GPA: 3.0

This scholarship is intended to reward a full-time graduate or undergraduate communication student with solid academic credentials, and high personal character.

Mark McDonough Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: full-time Communication or Media Studies Major with an interest in Mass Communication/Broadcasting; Minimum GPA: 3.0
Application Deadline for Funding Applied to Fall Semester: April 1

This scholarship honors the memory of UM-St. Louis graduate Mark McDonough by providing support to a full-time communication or media studies major with solid academic credentials and a career interest in mass communications/broadcasting.
