CONTACT LENS II

Research Paper on Contact Lenses

The selected topic may be a literature review or a research project of your design in any area of contact lenses. This report must be in typewritten (or via word processor) form and submitted to Dr. Bennett or Dr. Henry no later than April 19.

Representative Topic

For example, you could use any of the general topics discussed in class (i.e., extended wear, soft bifocals, new RGP materials) and provide a literature review on a specific subtopics for example, causes and management of hydrogel extended wear - induced edema. This is typically a 7-15 page paper but is not limited to this amount. If you have an idea for a contact lens project that will not result in a paper per se but would be interesting and beneficial, it would be considered for fulfilling this requirement. If the paper format is to be used, it should be well written with the use of sufficient subtitles to differentiate the content within the manuscript. As the papers from some of the past classes are bound and available in the library, you may want to review these papers prior to initiating the project. Some possible topics are attached.

Bibliography

All references to be used in the manuscript should be listed (in order of appearance) at the end of the manuscript. Please use the attached format from the Journal of the AOA for citing, listing and form of the references.

Publishing

All papers should be a form suitable for publication.

YOUR TOPIC SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO DR. BENNETT OR DR. HENRY FOR APPROVAL BEFORE STARTING!!!
