UMSL's technology bootcamps are hands-on workshops that provide both in-depth knowledge and practical skills in high-demand fields such as data analytics, computer programming, and business intelligence. Through week-long, immersive experiences, we provide the learning you need to meet your career and professional development goals. All levels are welcome!

Key Features of the Bootcamp Series

  • Focused Learning Pathways: Each bootcamp’s curriculum guides participants from foundational concepts to advanced techniques. Bootcamps build a solid understanding of core principles while equipping learners with the skills to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. 

  • Expert Instructors: Our bootcamps are led by industry professionals with extensive experience in their respective fields. Instructors bring practical insights and real-world examples to the classroom, enhancing the learning experience and providing valuable context. 

  • Hands-On Experience: The program emphasizes practical, hands-on learning. Participants engage in exercises that mimic real-world challenges, allowing them to apply new skills and techniques in a supportive environment. 

  • Flexible Learning Options: To accommodate learners wherever they are, all of our courses are held simultaneously online over Zoom and in-person at our Skills Lab in Des Peres, MO.

  • Badge and Recognition: Upon successful completion of the bootcamp, participants receive an UMSL Digital Badge that formally recognizes their newly-acquired skills and knowledge. Completers may proudly display their new UMSL Digital Badge on LinkedIn and their résumé! Additionally, several of our bootcamps prepare learners for industry exams, such as through Microsoft, that lead to additional certifications. These exams may be taken at the UMSL Testing Center.

The Excel, Power BI, and Python bootcamp programs are aligned with industry-recognized examinations that you can optionally take to earn an additional employer-recognized certificate.

We offer pro-rated Bootcamp program costs for those who have previously taken 1 or more courses required for the Bootcamp program. Previous courses must have been taken through the UMSL Skills Lab.
