Jake Long, M.Ed.
Jake Long joined UMSL as the Director of TRIO Student Support Services in 2021. He earned his undergraduate degree in Secondary Social Studies with an emphasis in Political Science from UMSL and obtained a Master of Education in Teaching Professionalism from Central Methodist University and currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Leadership in Higher Education from Missouri Baptist University. Jake brings leadership expertise in TRIO Talent Search, student programming, community engagement, and is a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. Jake is a member of the Council for Opportunity in Education, Education Opportunity Association, National College Access Network, and National Association for Student Personnel Administration. As a former TRIO Student Support Services alum, Jake is passionate about working with students to meet their fullest potential.
TRIO Success Coach
Johany Glen joined the TRIO Student Support Services team in 2021 and serves as the TRIO Success Coach. She earned her bachelor's degree in International Relations and obtained master's degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University. She is a member of the Council for Opportunity in Education, Education Opportunity Association, National College Access Network, and National Association for Student Personnel Administration. She brings an expertise in student programming, college admissions, and transfer student recruitment. Johany has a strong commitment to serving students from diverse backgrounds and supporting their educational goals.
