Jake Long, M.Ed.
Jake Long joined UMSL as the Director of TRIO Student Support Services in 2021. He earned his undergraduate degree in Secondary Social Studies with an emphasis in Political Science from UMSL and obtained a Master of Education in Teaching Professionalism from Central Methodist University and currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Leadership in Higher Education from Missouri Baptist University. Jake brings leadership expertise in TRIO Talent Search, student programming, community engagement, and is a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. Jake is a member of the Council for Opportunity in Education, Education Opportunity Association, National College Access Network, and National Association for Student Personnel Administration. As a former TRIO Student Support Services alum, Jake is passionate about working with students to meet their fullest potential.
TRIO Success Coach
Taylor Jones joined the TRIO Student Support Services team in 2022 and serves as a TRIO Success Coach. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Journalism and obtained a Master of Art Degree in Higher Education Administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a member of the Council for Opportunity in Education, Education Opportunity Association, St. Louis Graduates and certified in Mental Health First Aid. She brings an expertise in coordination and implementation of retention-directed activities and events, student programming and recruitment, transfer planning, and community engagement. Taylor has a zealous commitment to students gaining access to higher education and continued support throughout their academic journey.
