The University of Missouri–St. Louis is setting course toward a renewed and reimagined future that will serve our university, region and far beyond for decades to come.
Over the past several years, we came together to develop, align and champion our Campus Strategic Plan, Strategic Enrollment Plan and our recently approved Campus Master Plan – all of which serve as the foundations for our future growth and investments.
Dramatic transformation is underway at UMSL as we collectively seek to rise up our university community and our region. We are steadily moving forward on our ambitious plans and we have launched this site to serve as a home to share and communicate these efforts.
The North Campus Quad is closed to pedestrian traffic with a perimeter fence installed to protect our campus community from various construction activities. Please respect all construction fencing and signage for your safety as you travel around the quad. Wayfinding signage is located around this area, but we recommend that students, faculty, staff and visitors park in the MSC parking garages located on the east side of North Campus during construction. The quad will remain most accessible during construction via the MSC bridge.
There are many ways to stay updated with the Transform UMSL projects. Keep an eye on this space for updates from project managers and UMSL leadership as they answer questions about the initiative and its impact.
Building our Academic Community
UMSL is working to establish and enhanced academic core on its North Campus, which includes the transition of key academic programs and facilities from the South Campus to the North Campus in concert with a comprehensive renovation of classroom, laboratory and community spaces to serve students for decades to come. This also includes an expansion of our health sciences footprint throughout the South Campus.
Business and Workforce District
UMSL joins St. Louis County and the State of Missouri in envisioning an ambitious plan designed to improve the quality of life and economic impact throughout the St. Louis region and beyond by creating a North St. Louis County Business and Workforce District anchored on the UMSL South Campus.
