Safe Zone trainings are opportunities to learn about LGBTQ+ identities, gender and sexuality, and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege. - Safe Zone Project
The current model of Safe Zone trainings present an overview of the LGBTQ+ community. Participants will mainly learn about terminology and how to create inclusive environments in their offices, classrooms, departments and organizations.
Safe Zone trainings are conducted each semester and are split between staff/faculty and students. Trainings are capped at 20 participants and are typically scheduled towards the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.
