Undoubtedly, being both a student and a parent poses unique challenges and circumstances. Despite this, student parents persist and overcome obstacles in their pursuit toward a college degree - for themselves and for their families.
We invited UMSL students with children to share their stories. We were truly moved by the responses - they gave us insight into the real experiences of UMSL students with children. These experiences were all very unique but they followed similar themes: determination, perseverance, overcoming obstacles, and ultimately succeeding for themselves and for their families.
