Doctor of Education Program
"A year ago, I was teaching adult ed classes for 2 programs and anxiously awaiting a decision on my application to UMSL College of Education for an Ed D. I also was transitioning my teaching to an online format while transitioning our daughter to online learning. Fast-forward to August of 2020, and my daughter and I both went back to school, together. She was entering 7th grade and I was heading back to grad school! It's going well and we both have adjusted to online and hybrid education. I am incredibly grateful to the support UMSL and the COE and my daughter's school have provided. Without all of the careful, creative planning and attention to detail, we'd all be in tough shape. My relationships with my cohort mates (Adult Ed, Workforce Dev, and Distance Learning Tech) are getting stronger as we've collaborated via Zoom classes, rich discussion boards, and, virtual group work. It's good to be a mom and Triton!"
