"Going to school or going back to school in my case with children is a huge sacrifice for anyone and bless those who persevered. In my case I left a job that paid well to finish a degree I had started years ago. My wife goes to UMSL as well and we have supported each other through this struggle. We both work part time at UMSL which is also a great opportunity as well. I tutor in Economics, as she works in the social workers field, that brings in some income. In addition, I mentor youth through my non-profit organization. A Step Beyond Inc. We are blessed to be able to subsidize our income with something we love to do, which is working with youth. To be creative with not much income and kids you have to do things like go to the zoo, go to forest park, have picnics, bowling, etc. But to me these are the things that most kids don't get a chance to experience because they are stuck in the house with money. (LOL)"
