A pre-major and transfer social work advisor will meet with you individually to help set academic goals, plan or change a course schedule, evaluate transfer credits, and plan your coursework prior to admission to the baccalaureate program. Following acceptance into the program, you will be assigned a permanent social work advisor. Your advisor will provide academic and professional guidance through the BSW curriculum. What is Starfish?
Starfish is an online tool that allows you to connect with program advisors once accepted to UMSL. In addition to the links provided under the advisor profiles listed above, you may also access Starfish via the MyGateway student dashboard using the instructions provided in the graphic below.
