Registration at UMSL requires students to agree to the Financial Responsibility Statement once per year. The Responsibility Agreement needs to be completed each semester.
When you sign into MyView, you should be prompted at sign-on to agree to the Financial Responsibility Statement. You may also click the "Statement of Financial Responsibility" link after logging into MyView as shown below:
The Responsibility Statement explains the billing methods, payment options and all policies related to student accounts. Agreement acknowledges that the student has read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions within the Responsibility Statement. Please read the entire statement, check the ACCEPT box, and click the Save Response button.
Extending Credit to Students
Based on prior payment history, the University may no longer "extend credit" to a student. Those students will not be able to charge bookstore purchases to their student account. They will also be required to pay their account in full within 48 hours of enrolling or have verified and accepted anticipated aid that would cover their balance in full. If the payment and/or aid requirements are not fulfilled within 48 hours, the student's classes will be administratively dropped.
