Get Involved with CASGSL

From providing Birthday in a Bag kits to hosting blanket drives and supporting our dedicated staff, your generosity ensures that children and families receive crucial support during difficult times. Explore how you can help and join us in our mission to create a safer, brighter future for every child in our community.

Birthday in a Bag – Put together a Do-it-Yourself Birthday Party Kit to make sure every child gets to celebrate their special day. Please include a cake pan, cake mix, icing, candles, birthday décor, and a small gift.

Go Bags – Backpacks with all the overnight necessities for our children who have to leave home unexpectedly. Backpacks are needed for all ages, including teens, and can be filled with new items such as pajamas, socks, underwear, hygiene items, and a blanket.

Blanket Drive – Host a blanket drive to provide our kids with comfort during their forensic interview and take it home with them. Please ensure blankets are new and unused.

Gift Card Drive – Collect gift cards for Target, Walmart, Amazon, or local fast food so when a child has a need, we can fill it.

Snack and Juice Drive – Ensuring every child’s basic needs are met when they arrive at CASGSL is important to our team. Hosting a snack and juice drive is a great way to see to it that no child leaves CASGSL hungry and/or thirsty.

Volunteer – Help us properly welcome children and families each holiday and/or season by decorating the office entryways at our UMSL and West Pine locations.

To volunteer at CASGSL, download and complete the volunteer application and email your completed application to Lauren Scott at lauren.scott@umsl.edu. If there are any current volunteer opportunities that match your interests and availability, we will be in touch with you soon.

Staff Appreciation Gifts – Send over pre-packaged or store-bought treats for our team because we know we must take care of our staff so they can take care of our children and families.

3rd Party Fundraisers – Host a Trivia Night, Black Light Bingo, Golf Tournament, or Color/Glow Run and donate the proceeds to CASGSL!

Make a Financial Gift – At CASGSL, all of our services are offered at no cost to our children and families. We rely on grants and private donations to ensure no family ever has to worry about how to seek help for their child. Donate online.
