Ramp to the Galleries. It's a ramp instead of step because
the Empress was carried in a chair up to the Galleries |

The Baptismal font. Note the two snakes on the side. I asked
the tour guide if the church had a Baptistery. She said that it did but
is now closed (turned into a mausoleum for Sultans). She said that there
is something out passed the Narthex that she would show us. Later she brought
us to this beautiful Baptismal font, everybody in the tour loved it. The
tour guide asked me repeatedly what it was called. Emperors and their children
were possibly Baptized here. |
