Amy Schechter is one of UMSL’s Senior Human Resources Partners and has worked in Human Resources for over 15 years. Prior to joining UMSL’s HR team, Amy served students in St. Louis area school districts as an educator, administrator, and CHRO. She has extensive experience in recruiting and hiring, employee relations, performance management, and labor relations. She is a dedicated educator and life-long learner with a passion to serve and empower the employees she works with. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Education, an Educational Specialists degree from UMSL, and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership.
