Center for Behavioral Health: The Center for Behavioral Health (CBH) is a not-for-profit outpatient mental health center established by the University of Missouri-St. Louis to provide psychological services to residents of the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Center for Trauma Recovery: The Center for Trauma Recovery (CTR) is a multi-disciplinary center of the University of Missouri-St. Louis whose purpose is to foster Research, Graduate and Undergraduate Education, and Service (by way of a specialized Trauma Clinic) in the areas of trauma and victimization.
Children’s Advocacy Services of Greater St. Louis, Kathy Weinman Center: Children’s Advocacy Services of Greater St. Louis is a University-based, multidisciplinary center that provides high-quality trauma-focused services to youth, families, and the community. CASGSL promotes resiliency, physical safety, and emotional stability through comprehensive research, forensic, clinical, educational, and advocacy programming.
Community Psychological Services: The Community Psychological Service (CPS) is a UMSL outpatient mental health center. Staff promote excellence in the counseling and psychological evaluation services provided to the community. CPS is committed to offering high-quality, timely, and affordable services to individuals who would not otherwise be able to afford professional mental health care.
Counseling and Social Advocacy Center: The Counseling and Social Advocacy Center (CSAC) @ UMSL assists individuals, couples, and families in need of counseling services with affordable counseling provided by professional counselors and graduate counseling students. The intake appointment or first session at the Counseling and Social Advocacy Center @ UMSL is completely free for all clients, with no obligation to continue thereafter. Low cost and sliding scale fees keep services accessible.
UMSL Eye Care: The UMSL College of Optometry provides a wide range of Eye Care. This includes three clinical eye care centers that offer a full range of specialty services to the public. Most major insurances are accepted with payments/co-payments expected as services are rendered.
Mobile Eye Center: An extension of UMSL Eye Care, the UMSL College of Optometry launched the Mobile Eye Center (MEC) program in 2004 outfitted with examination chairs and testing equipment. This moves from location to location to bring complete optometric care to specific groups of underserved patients. The MEC removes distance, time and affordability barriers that often separate patients from doctors. This is especially helpful in underserved neighborhoods where eye care services are not offered. The MEC brings eye care on site to schools in the St. Louis area, benefiting children by identifying and correcting problems early leading to greater academic success.
Missouri Institute for Mental Health (MIMH): The Missouri Institute of Mental Health’s (MIMH) mission is to improve and transform mental health outcomes through innovative research and program development, program evaluation, community outreach, and professional training. MIMH programs serve individuals impacted by, at risk for, or living with a mental illness, behavioral health condition, traumatic brain injury, or HIV/AIDS, as well as all sectors who work with these individuals from policy-makers to funders to direct-service workers.
UMSL Nursing: The UMSL College of Nursing is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence and leadership through academic, clinical and research initiatives.The College of Nursing prepares nurses as clinicians, scientists and educators, and facilitates professional advancement through our innovative programs such as the Pre-Licensure BSN Program, RN to BSN Program, Post Graduate Certificate Program, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD). College of Nursing frequently provides direct health services at partner sites.
UMSL Patient Care Center: The UMSL Patient Care Center houses the University Eye Center and partners with SSM Health to offer primary care, obstetrics and gynecology services to area residents.
Health Services: Providing health services to UMSL students, this department is staffed by qualified and accredited medical personnel, with oversight from two local specialty physicians. This resource is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students by providing quality care, exceptional service, and education about healthy lifestyle choices. Services include acute illness and injuries, ongoing health conditions, routine health visits, mental health, immunizations, screenings, smoking cessation, and others.
Recreation and Wellness Center: Open to students, faculty, and staff as well as community members, the UMSL Recreation and Wellness Center is a place for members to stay, play, and connect. Providing an inclusive and comprehensive set of programs and services that cater to the needs of the UMSL community, offerings focus on promoting health, wellness, recreation, and fun.
