SCOPE: This collection, dated 1878-1897, consists of 17 memos, correspondences, invoices, and reports related to city improvement projects undertaken by the St. Louis Board of Public Improvements. The documents cover a broad range of projects, including the planned implementation of power lines and streetlights, a complaint about “defective granitoid work,” recommended adjustments to the sewer network, and protests from residents against planned improvement projects in their neighborhoods.
