ABSTRACT: Letter signed by Charles Dehault Delassus, 1803.
SCOPE: This letter includes the signature of Charles “Don Carlos” Dehault Delassus, the last Spanish Lieutenant Governor of Upper Louisiana. Manuel de Lisa, the famous fur trader, is also mentioned in the text. The document was drawn up in “St. Lewis” and includes the date May 17, 1803.
