M-475 War Ration Books

ABSTRACT: Collection of ration books from World War II.

SCOPE: This collection includes the war ration books of Thomas C. Finley of East St. Louis, Illinois, and Brunnhilda Bock and Pansy H. Bock of Missouri. Each book is stamped with a five- or six-digit number and includes printed instructions or notices from the Office of Price Administration. The books belonging to the Bocks have no remaining ration stamps, but the book belonging to Finley retains a variety of green, blue, and black stamps.

EXTENT: One folder.

ACCESS: This collection can be viewed on-site in the Rare Book and Manuscripts Reading Room.  Some of the material may be photocopied, digitally scanned or photographed, subject to condition and other access restrictions.
