M-471 Ladies' Sewing Society Collection

ABSTRACT: Materials related to a Ladies' Sewing Society, 1853-1885.

SCOPE: This collection is comprised materials related to a Ladies’ Sewing Society. The collection includes an 1865 lettersheet for the Portland Price-Current, addressed to Mr. Geo. E. Berry in Burnham, Maine, as well as a January 1885 edition of the San Francisco Prices Current. The collection also includes an account book from the Treasurer of the Ladies’ Sewing Society (later referred to as The Ladies’ Congregational Benevolent Society) at the Congregational Church in Chester, Vermont. The account book is dated between 1853 and 1883.
