Abstract: M-397 is a collection of photographs relating to aviation, St. Louis, and the 1904 World's Fair, by Charles Trefts.

Biographical note: Charles Trefts was a photographer who owned a studio at 802 Chestnut St., Saint Louis, Missouri.

Scope and Content note: 42 photographs and one photocopy. Most images were taken by Trefts. Subjects include images of Charles Lindberg and the Wright Brothers, as well as the World's Fair Exposition of 1904 and Saint Louis street scenes.
