CREATOR: Bryan, John; son of William Bryan and Annie (Boone) Bryan the sister of Daniel Boone.

SCOPE: Log of a trip made by John Bryan on a schooner with 12 members of the militia to get public goods from New Bern to Eadenton and return. Diary described country and named many different families where he stopped and also names of towns. Some genealogy of Bryan´s family.

EXTENT: 1 Diary, written in ink, very legible, earliest date is January 25, 1769 last date April 26, 1791. 188 pp. small quatro vellum in morocco slip case.
