SCOPE: The collection contains three items related to the funeral train of President Abraham Lincoln.

EXTENT: 1 framed photograph of one of the locomotives used on the trip, 1 copy of one of the timetables issued for the trip and item purported to be a piece of a window shade from the funeral car.

HISTORY: After the assassination of President Lincoln, his body was taken by train from Washington, DC to Springfield, IL for internment.
