Things to do While You Wait

Sometimes we can boost our mental health by taking care of ourselves when things seem overwhelming or sad. Self-care is about giving ourselves relief when we feel overwhelmed. It is about addressing our problems holistically. Self-care activities are usually carried out, or at least initiated by, the person themselves. To care for yourself, you need to know your needs and seek them out. Although self care is important, it cannot replace the advice of a mental health professional. But these exercises can be done to help alleviate stress in between meetings with your counselor.
