The Master of Public Policy Administration program is designed to prepare students for managerial positions in the public sector or in agencies having substantial interaction with the public sector. Getting acqainted with MPPA faculty and students will enhance the academic experience. Regularly scheduled social events in informal settings provide opportunities for students to interact with faculty and each other, and to polish their networking skills. Upcoming EventsRecent EventsOn October 8, 2004, the MPPA Program hosted its annual reception at 7:00 PM, at the UM-St. Louis Alumni Center. The reception was a great way to get acquainted with fellow students and MPPA faculty. At the reception, the new members of Pi Alpha Alpha, the public administration honor society, were inducted. Silver Anniversary CelebrationMPPA's 25th Anniversary took place on April 6 and 7, 2001. This was an exciting event for the program. On April 6th, students, faculty, staff and family enjoyed a keynote speaker followed by a reception at the Millenium Student Center. The keynote speaker was Dr. Larry Terry, who is the the Editor of the Public Administration Review and Professor at Cleveland State University. On Saturday, April 7th, dedicated faculty and students attended a morning panel discussion lead by Dr. Larry Terry and Dr. Guy Adams, Dr. T.R. Carr, Dr Mary Domahidy, Dr. Andrew Glassberg, and Dr. Robert Herman. The panel discussed " Public Policy and Administration: The Last Quarter Century and the Next." The 25th Anniversary Celebration was a success and a special time for alumni, faculty, and students to get together and celebrate the success of the MPPA program over the years.
