A panel comprised of a past participant from each UM System campus and one from UWC will answer questions that highlight why so many participants find this program rewarding.

    • The primary purpose of the International Business Career Conference is to allow students the opportunity to connect with professionals who can give them a clearer picture of the types of career opportunities available and the paths to obtain them.
    • The Conference plans to achieve this in several ways including:
      • Keynote address from a leading executive
      • Panel discussions with local business executives
      • Informative workshops on business issues and job market
      • One on one interviews with executives from major international companies
      • Numerous networking opportunities for students, faculty and businesses

 

  • Now Open:
    • University of Missouri South African Education Program Call for Proposals
      • Deadline August 15, 2025 by 5:00 p.m. Central
      • The call for proposals is now open for University of Missouri faculty interested in building scholarly collaborations with colleagues at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. For 39 years, funding from UMSAEP has supported over 900 faculty exchanges, involving more than 50 different academic departments on all four UM system campuses. Many of these exchanges have generated externally funded research projects, produced publications or led to curriculum and professional development initiatives. Funding is also available for research collaborations with other South African institutions.
      • Successful proposals include clear evidence that faculty members at each institution are committed to a productive collaboration. We recommend that interested faculty establish strong communication with potential exchange collaborators. Rod Uphoff, UMSAEP director, and the UMSAEP Committee coordinator for your campus are happy to advise and assist in identifying and introducing potential UWC collaborators. Sample applications and reports detailing different types of teaching and research collaborations are available on the UMSAEP website.
