Complete Visa and Immigration Requirements

Review the steps for obtaining your student visa, including paying the I-901 SEVIS fee, preparing for your visa appointment, and completing any transfer procedures if you are joining us from another U.S. institution.

Let Us Know Your Plans

Visit the Triton Portal to confirm your enrollment, meet your student success team, and view your custom checklist items.

Check Your Tech

Visit the Triton Tech information page to view your SSO username and password to activate your official UMSL email account.

Register for Pre-Departure Sessions

Sign up to attend a visa preparation session and a mandatory pre-departure orientation.

Register for the Global Triton Welcome

Prepare for the Global Triton Welcome. This is a mandatory orientation for all international students new to UMSL. Register online in the Triton Portal.

Join Our ZeeMee Community

Connect with future classmates, find your roommate, and ask UMSL-related questions in our ZeeMee Community.

Review Housing Options and Register for On-Campus Housing

First-time college students are required to live on campus in Oak Hall, but convenient and comfortable options are also available for transfer and graduate students . Transfer and graduate students considering living off campus should review our housing page.

Registration for Classes, Tests, and Payment Options

Prepare to submit final, official transcripts and test scores. Take any placement tests you are required to complete (EAP and/or MATH), then meet with your advisor to register for classes.

Immunization and Health Insurance

Submit your immunization records to UMSL Health Services. Review the health insurance requirements and find more information.

Prepare for Arrival to St. Louis

UMSL Global offers airport pickup for students living on campus the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before the Global Triton Welcome. Be sure to sign up by the deadline. Learn more about alternative transportation options on our website.
