This workshop is an opportunity for students and faculty with an interest in GIS to learn about BAE Systems’ Geospatial eXploitation Products™ (GXP®), which enable rapid, accurate, and informed decision making across key military, public safety and security operations, as well as a variety of commercial development and research initiatives. In particular, attendees will be introduced to our flagship software solution, SOCET GXP®, enabling the most advanced geospatial intelligence workflows as well as customized product creation.

- 2:00 – 2:30pm - Demonstration of the key capabilities of SOCET GXP
- 2:30 – 2:50pm - Hands-on tutorial: Navigating the SOCET GXP interface
- 3:00 – 3:30pm - Hands-on tutorial: Japanese oil spill detection and cleanup
- 3:30 – 4:00pm - Hands-on tutorial: Classifying imagery data for use in classifications
- and integrating into GIS data layers
Faculty members interested in participating should register in advance to receive workshop materials and ensure proper software setup.
