Fatemeh MardiCollege of Education
At UMSL, Dr. Fatemeh Mardi teaches educational technology, math education, and curriculum & instruction. Her research is focused on enhancing student online learning experiences and providing support for teachers. Her transdisciplinary academic background in engineering and data science positions her to facilitate professional learning in a variety of content areas. She is passionate about implementing asset-based and community-driven approaches in culturally relevant and responsive pedagogies across interdisciplinary fields.
At the UMSL COE Geospatial Design Lab, she finds ways to integrate skills needed to be a ‘literate citizen’ in this century (technology, writing, global awareness, growth mindset, and geospatial and computational thinking) into course content. Her day job is working as an instructional designer for Google.
