Dawn Thieman earned her Ph.D. in Teaching and Learning Processes and and Ed.S. in Leadership at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL). She is currently a Graduate Research Fellow for the COE's Educator Preparation and Leadership Department. Her main interests include teacher development, instructional coaching to support teachers and administrators in providing equitable and linguistically and culturally relevant teaching for multilingual language learners (MLLs), program development in K-12 and post-secondary education, and educational policies that affect MLL students.
