Dr. Julie Smith Sodey is Associate Teaching Professor and Associate Department Chair in the department of Educator Preparation and Leadership. Her teaching focuses on content and clinical experiences for teacher candidates in the areas of education foundations, instructional design, and professional dispositions. Her areas of service focus on improvement, support, and management of effective teacher education programming and the development of teacher pipelines to strengthen and diversify the teaching profession. Prior to earning her Ed.D. in educational policy and leadership, Julie was a public-school educator for ten years, working in elementary schools as a classroom teacher and K-6 math instructional coach.
