Kate’s passion has always been in education. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in December 2014 with an Elementary Education degree and went on to teach Kindergarten and Second Grade in the Lindbergh School District. After some teaching experience, Kate became interested in Higher Education, seeking a position in UMSL Admissions as a Recruiter and Admissions Counselor at UMSL. As a Recruiter and Admissions Counselor, Kate was able to demonstrate student support by helping students pick the right college and degree path when choosing a college. She traveled to different high schools and attended many college fairs to represent UMSL! Kate received her MEd in Higher Education and Administration in 2017 and then became an Academic Advisor in the College of Education at UMSL. When advising students, Kate enjoys working with students and getting to know them to help make their college experiences successful and memorable. In 2019, Kate and her family welcomed baby Jack! Kate was fortunate to become part time and serve as a Student Support Specialist in the front office of the College of Education and still enjoys advising students. She looks forward to working in Higher Education and serving and supporting students.
