Stephanie Koscielski, M Ed, is the Sr. Director of Clinical Experience and School Partnerships. Stephanie earned her Master's in Elementary Education at UMSL, and has worked in K-12 and higher education for over 30 years, and has a passion for strong clinical collaborations, as evidenced by her leadership in the innovative Studio School model. She is committed to preparing strong, effective educational leaders who will improve student learning in K-12 education, agency-based work in human services industries. Stephanie has taught a variety of education courses in higher education, from Foundations to Practicum 1, however she currently oversees the Studio School Model, with its 36 school partners, and works directly every certification candidate. Paramount to Stephanie's work is her strong collaboration with local school districts, studio schools, administration and teachers.
Stephanie works very closely with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to ensure the COE's clinical practice is not only in compliance with state requirements, but always exceeds them with the innovative, strategic and collaborative clinical work our students participate in. Stephanie has presented a variety of professinoal papers, at such conferences as AACTE, MOASPA and MACTE, including the Study Abroad in China Program, Early Childhood Development, Creative Clinical Practice, Best Practices in Global and International Perspectives, Reshaping Teacher Preparation with Strategic Implementation of the Science of Learning and Teacher Preparation: Promising Practice: Strategic and Systematic Implementation and Monitoring of Learning Science Content.
