Karen's undergraduate degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia include a dual BA in English and German and a BSEd in Secondary Language Arts. She has an MA in German Literature and will complete an MEd in Educational Psychology in Summer 2023. Karen has always valued educational opportunities outside a formal classroom and through 20+ years of work at summer youth leadership conferences and as a Girl Scout leader, has extensive experience in service learning, leadership development, and experiential education. As a parent of college students, Karen has extra insight into the daily life and concerns of young adults. Karen’s favorite part about her work as a success coordinator is the opportunity to spend one-on-one time getting to know COE students.
