Who We Are

Established in 2017, the Circle of Educators includes education and other professionals who are alumni, current students and friends of the College of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

What We Do

Together with College of Education faculty, staff, and administration, the Circle strengthens and enhances programs and goals through meaningful connections that make a positive impact on the education profession and St. Louis community.

The Circle expands on the traditional alumni experience by hosting celebratory events and informative educational seminars. By facilitating discussions on relevant topics such as school behavioral issues, character education, and the impact of diversity in teaching all learners, we provide our alumni with tools and techniques to use in their own classroom or practice. The Circle also provides extended opportunities for alumni to return to campus and share experiences with future educators. The partnerships our alumni and friends create with each other and with our students strengthens and broadens powerful connections to the College and its future.

Establishing and supporting the Circle offers these opportunities to members:

  • Organized opportunities for education candidates and alumni to learn, exchange ideas and communicate with each other to gain insight on career paths and critical professional issues;
  • Formal forums and event schedule in which the profession can be explored and discussed;
  • Alumni relationships from across the region and country;
  • Special events in area school districts honoring educators and discussing current educational issues
