Dr. Vining began her nursing career when she obtained her Associates Degree as a Registered Nurse from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia while living in the D.C. area. Later she moved to the St. Louis area with her husband and children. It was here she continued her education by receiving a BSN degree from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in Women’s Health from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. In addition to these academic achievements, Dr. Vining also has degrees in the area of Business and Legal Studies from the University of Memphis and Southwest Tennessee Community College, respectively.
Dr, Vining has worked in various fields of nursing over her clinical bedside career, such as: Medical-Surgical, Low Risk Pediatrics, Newborn Nursery, and all areas of Women’s Health (High and Low-Risk Labor & Birth, Antepartum, Postpartum, Women’s Surgery/ GYN). She has worked with SSM Health and Mercy Hospital in Missouri and Inova Health Systems in Virginia as an employee, and in SSM Health, Mercy, and BJC Health Care in Missouri as a Clinical Instructor.
