Bellerive is an annual literary publication from the Pierre Laclede Honors College, produced and published by students of the Honors College each fall. Students, faculty, and staff campus wide submit previously unpublished creative works each year for possible inclusion in the book; the class then reviews submissions, edits accepted submissions, and lays out and publishes the book. Selections, editing, layout, and design are all done by students enrolled in the Bellerive seminar.
All UMSL students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to submit original creative works that have not been previously published. Submissions are accepted from January 1 through October 1. Bellerive accepts:
Poetry: Submit up to 5 poems
Prose: Submit up to 2 pieces (each piece 4,000 words or less)
Photography/Art: Submit up to 5 digital images (with titles)
Original Music: Submit 2 original works as audio files (for additional information email us at bellerivesubmit@umsl.edu).
To submit to Bellerive, please review our submission guidelines, and fill out our submission form.
Submissions review is a “blind” process. Submitters’ names are not disclosed during review.
