Lori Pilla, RN, MBA, CPSM has more than twenty five years of executive clinical, financial and operational healthcare experience, Lori brings an impressive balance of strategy, operations, medical expertise and business savvy in supporting the organization’s efforts to manage the total cost of ownership and support exceptional quality care.
As System Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer, Lori ensures the effective execution of all end to end supply chain performance improvement, including clinical, financial, and operational by leveraging her relational experience to clinically integrate all aspects of supply chain. In addition, she has oversight of the transition to a new GPO partner as well as new business development solutions ultimately focusing on cost reductions across the entire Mercy Health Ministry. By engaging medical staff, senior leadership, and key clinical stakeholders, improvements are realized across the entire supply chain.
Prior to joining Mercy, Lori achieved success directing contract design, materials management and business operations for organizations such as Kaufman Hall, Intalere (formerly Amerinet) Ascension Health System, Vizient (formerly MedAssets®) and Mercy Health in St. Louis. She possesses over 20+ years expertise in surgical services and was the clinical director for SurgCenter® Development, responsible for regulatory oversight of building codes, operations, materials management, accreditations, managed care contracting, cost management and profitability during the construction of new ambulatory surgical centers, as well as expansion efforts within acute care hospitals. A business development pro, Lori also has hands-on experience in healthcare operations and product development for pharmaceutical and clinical communications-technology industries.
Lori holds numerous degrees and certifications in addition to her RN, including an MBA, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and her CPSM.
