Brian is an Assistant Teaching Professor with UMSL Sociology and it's his second-year teaching with the department. He grew up in Los Angeles, CA and first came to Saint Louis about 9 years ago for college. Brian attended WashU, where he met his wife and studied Political Science and Business. He then worked in consulting and politics for a little bit, before attending UMSL for his Master of Public Policy Administration. Afterward, he attended SLU for his PhD in Public and Social Policy - a hybrid program between Political Science and Sociology.
Brian is most interested in the connections between housing, governance, and society, and he typically enjoys utilizing mostly quantitative methods. If you're interested in this sort of thing, please reach out! He loves teaching at UMSL and supporting students as they complete their UMSL Sociology journeys.
