Participation in Commencement

If you plan to participate, you must reserve a seat. You will be contacted via email and will need to fill out the proper participation form.

NOTE: Starting Jan. 2016, UMSL no longer purchases custom academic attire for full-time faculty. That program no longer has funding. Executive Events will rent attire for those faculty members who do not have their own.

Executive Events will send out a participation form in advance of Commencement. If you have never ordered before, you will need to provide the following information - height, coat size, last degree, and institution where it was earned. The rental will be charged to the University.

  • Rental attire will be available the day of graduation in the faculty robing room. Please inform the Triton Store if you would like to pick it up earlier.
  • The faculty and doctoral candidates will robe in Room 218 of the Mark Twain Building.
  • Reserved parking will be available in the UMSL Postal Services lot (near the Express Scripts entrance).
