Note: this program is being phased out in 2023, replaced with an updated version. Students admitted under this version can continue this program or use the updated version once finalized.
The M.S. in Computer Science has three different options to choose from, offering a wide range of career opportunities. All graduates will have a broad computing background and will be exposed to a wide range of technologies. They will also be prepared for team work, independent research, and technical reporting and presentations.
Students may enroll in our program on a full-time or part-time basis, and all programs can be completed in the evening . Moreover, some courses are available online and many are offered in hybrid mode - including recorded lectures and classroom meetings once a week in the evening.
Applicants must meet the general graduate admission requirements of the Graduate School and also show proficiency in some key areas as outlined below. Applicants can be admitted with a few missing requirements, those with too many missing admission requirements are encouraged to take some of the proficiency courses before applying. Students admitted with some missing deficiencies (restrictions) must take the identified courses here, or can petition to have the restrictions removed, prior to arrival or after arrival, based on coursework or experience.
Both admission requirements and required courses may be transferred in or waived based on prior coursework or experience.
The program is STEM designated.
